Return and Refund Policy

At Trio Pawn Shop, customer satisfaction and legal compliance are our top priorities. Due to the nature of our business—offering both secondhand merchandise and federally regulated firearm sales—our return and refund policies vary by product type and are governed by strict federal, state, and local laws.

By completing a purchase at our store, you acknowledge and accept the following return and refund terms.

We sell a combination of pre-owned and new items, including electronics, tools, musical instruments, jewelry, and collectibles.

Due to federal and ATF regulations, all firearm and ammunition sales are final. This includes:

• New and used firearms
   
• Firearm accessories (e.g., magazines, scopes)
   
• Ammunition (any caliber or type)
   

No returns, exchanges, or refunds will be granted on firearms or ammunition once the sale has been completed and the firearm has been legally transferred to the customer through Form 4473 and background check approval.

We encourage all customers to inspect firearms thoroughly before purchase. Our team is available to assist and answer any technical or safety-related questions during the selection process.

We offer layaway on qualifying items with a deposit and written agreement.

Layaway Terms:

• A minimum 20% non-refundable deposit is required
   
• Payments must be made regularly as agreed
   
• Item must be paid in full by the agreed-upon date (typically 30 or 60 days)
   

Cancellation Policy:

• If the layaway is canceled or the payment deadline is missed, the item may be returned to stock
   
• Deposits and payments made toward canceled layaways are non-refundable, but may be transferred to store credit at our discretion
   

Items left as collateral in a pawn transaction are not subject to traditional return or refund policies.

Customer Redemptions:

• Once a customer redeems a pawned item, it cannot be returned for a refund, under our discretion.
   

Purchased Forfeited Items:

• Items sold from forfeited pawn loans are considered pre-owned and are sold “as-is”
  
   

If an item is found to be defective or misrepresented (excluding normal wear on used goods), please contact us within 3 days of purchase. No guarantees are made; all items are sold as is and inspection is recommended before purchasing.

We may offer:

• An exchange for a similar item (if available)
   
• A repair or store credit
   
• A refund (rare and discretionary)
   

This does not apply to items damaged after the sale or firearms/ammo, which are legally excluded from return/refund policies.

To request a return:

• Bring the item, original receipt, and any included accessories or packaging back to our store
   
• A team member will inspect the item and verify eligibility
   
• If approved, refunds may take up to 5 business days to process (if paid by card)
   

Returns must be made in person. We do not accept mailed returns.
